Yaanendriya YPS E L1 GNSS + Compass Module

The YPS Essentials (YPS E) is a high-performance L1 GNSS solution built on the robust u-blox NEO-M9N platform. It delivers meter-level position accuracy and ultra-fast acquisition times through UART communication. This module supports the simultaneous reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. Consequently, it offers excellent satellite visibility even in challenging “urban canyons” or dense environments. By viewing more satellites, the YPS selects the best signals for reliable position fixes.

To enhance navigation, the module integrates the IST8310 3-axis digital compass over I2C. This magnetometer provides reliable heading information with low noise and high sensitivity. The hardware is carefully tuned for the L1 band using a dual-filter design. This design protects the module against strong RF interference from cellular modems or radios. Furthermore, it features a high-gain 25x25x4 mm antenna for an optimal signal-to-noise ratio.
